With Leeds United suffering disappointment ahead of the September international break, we did what we needed to when real football returned over the weekend. Our trip to Barnsley and Oakwell took a while to explode into life, despite our usual control of the ball and chances on the day, but inside of the final ten minutes, substitute Eddie Nketiah increased his own calls for a start by opening the scoring, and with former youngster Aapo Halme being unable to handle him, Mats Klich had the opportunity to make it 2-0 in the 89th minute from the penalty spot.
With a number of positives to take from the game, despite it taking a while for us to take advantage, the scoreline could’ve been greater and really, it doesn’t matter when goals come, the game is 90 minutes long and each minute counts just as much as another.
The three points on the day also put us back at the top of the Championship table, albeit on goal difference at this stage, but that wasn’t going to stop the Elland Road faithful from celebrating the win – although the criticism undercurrent lingered on for some.
Again Costa and Eddie have to start.

It's not rocket science.
Take the two weak links out of the equation and we win game— Philip Hobbs (@PhilipHobbsMOT) September 15, 2019
Costa and eddy to start for me they made such a difference when they came on we actually looked like scoring. They brought a freshness to the team. #MOT

So Costa and Nketiah can be twice as effective when they come on against tired legs.
