After an impressive season all around for Leeds United, things quickly fell apart as they so often do for our club in the play-offs last night.
We went into the game in the driving seat and the atmosphere was raucous but we ended up losing the game and the tie thanks to a number of poor performances.
All season we have looked like a great side but when the biggest of matches came, a number of players simply fell apart or went missing.
Of course, it seems a little harsh to criticise some of the players but even the senior figures crumbled in places and one man who will be having nightmares is Liam Cooper.
He’s been excellent all year but his mix up with Kiko Casilla was calamitous and from there he largely had a game to forget – of all days.
A real shame, and plenty has been said on Twitter in reflection of the performance…

Scapegoating?Absolutely, cost us going to Wembley:
Kiko
Beradi
CooperHernandez (not cost us just missing constantly last 4 games)
Bamford – it’s like playing with 10 men from the start.
So yeah absolutely they’re the players responsible, individual errors cost us #LUFC— GD (@georgeLUFC11) May 15, 2019
Can't keep defending Cooper, it's mistake after mistake. Needs to be gone in the summer #lufc

We were our own downfall there. We weren't outplayed. Kiko had a disaster of a game and not for the first time. Completely embarrassing that first goal.
Cooper – needlessly gives away pen. Berardi sending off. And that's the story of us exiting the playoffs. #lufc— Katy B 💙💛 (@ah_intermission) May 15, 2019
