It’s been reported this week that Leeds United’s Pawel Cibicki will be offloaded in the January window amidst interest from at least one MLS side.

The 24-year-old headed out of Elland Road back over the summer for a half-season loan spell out with Norwegian side Molde and although his spell doesn’t expire until January, his time at the club is basically over as they have now entered their winter break in league action.

Having arrived at the club from Malmo last summer, he only made eight starting appearances with a further two showings from the bench and the Yorkshire Evening Post reported yesterday that they believed that manager Marcelo Bielsa already sees him as surplus to requirements and isn’t interested in bringing the Swede back into the first team fold.

Molde gaffer Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had praised his efforts whilst at the club (13 appearances, three goals and five assists apparently) and he fully expected the player to get a fresh ‘opportunity’ when back with us but maybe not.

With mixed thoughts over the performances of on-loan Jack Harrison, I’m sure there will be a number of feel Cibicki is worthy of a shot before we make any final decisions on his future.
