Leeds United were on fire on Saturday as Hull City were swept aside in the Championship encounter at the KCOM Stadium. We were rampant with Luke Ayling, Pablo Hernandez and Tyler Roberts scoring the goals in a 4-0 win over the Tigers.

Is Mateusz Klich underrated among Leeds United fans?

Ayling opened the scoring in the first-half after his strike took a deflection off Callum Elder with Hernandez making it two when he swept the ball past George Long. Roberts then climbed off the bench to score a brace, first finishing off a brilliant counter-attacking move before heading home his second.

Jack Harrison enjoyed one of his best games in a Leeds shirt as he dominated in attack for Marcelo Bielsa’s side. The Manchester City loanee played the joint-most key passes, was fouled the most times and had the second-most shots on goal, as per WhoScored. The best part of his game proved to be his ability on the ball as the Englishman completed a staggering six dribbles, five more than his nearest teammate.

However, it was Mateusz Klich who proved to be something of an unsung hero with his performance in the centre of the pitch. Not only was the Poland international prominent in attack as he got two assists, but the ace was also brilliant on the defensive side of the game as he made two tackles and two fouls, doing his best to thwart Hull’s threat.

Leeds Live agreed with this assessment of his performance as they gave him a six out of 10, commenting on his display they said: “Always impresses with the one-touch build-up play around the opposition box. Forced a decent tip away by Long in the second half. May have had a goal if Harrison had found him with a quicker cross.”
