Forest Panic Over Leeds Visit?

Feeling intimidated? Well now you can ‘txt a steward’ as Notts Forest become the latest club to panic over the arrival of Leeds United fans at their stadium.

Not content with the confusing array of ticket restrictions and shutting the pubs (a travesty in my opinion), Nottingham Forest fans have now been given their very own txt line to contact stewards in the event of trouble.

Forest club safety officer Alan Bexon said: ‘We thought of the idea after a lady told us that she was afraid to contact stewards about a problem in the stands.’

Is it merely a coincidence that this has happened as Leeds United drop into town, considering that there has already been trouble at the City Ground this year, before the new season had even started? A pitch invasion marred a pre-season friendly between Forest and Trent River neighbours Notts County, a rivalry that I was informed did not actually exist!
