With a number of positives on the first team pitch for Leeds United during the campaign of 2018/19 under the charge of manager Marcelo Bielsa, there have also been plenty of high points from our next generation given the performances of the Under 23 side.
Carlos Corberan’s boys also find themselves in a promotion push and following on from Monday’s 2-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers, they are now four points clear at the top of the Premier League 2 Northern table.
Youth has been a key positive this year once again as we grow our own and with plenty of names now being looked out for, Hugo Diaz’s efforts are becoming another massive plus for us as the lad has skill and a solid consistency.
We have seen him in the first team fold once previously back during Paul Heckingbottom’s time, and he was one who certainly stole the show earlier in the week again.
He’s a player that could well become a “wtf, where did he come from?” kinda player. He and Kün are very similar in that respect.

Made his debut for us last season against Preston. Definitely a prospect. Captain of the U23s with good reason. #lufc

Two delicious defence splitting passes.Another excellent prospect but not as near the first team as the two scorers.Stevens and especially Gotts look real talents breaking forward from midfield.Robbie’s taking great strides in the 23s. D’ya know why Theo Hudson wasn’t in the 18s?
