Many Leeds United fans have been lauding Stuart Dallas on social media after LUFC Data shared a statistical assessment of his performance against Reading.

Boss Marcelo Bielsa fielded the 28-year-old at left-back at home to the Royals on Saturday, before later calling on Dallas to move across to the right-hand side of our defence following Kalvin Phillips’ first-half injury.

No matter what side of the field he featured from, Dallas thrived and has now been earning a wealth of praise online with some supporters dubbing him as their contender for our Player of the Season award.

Others have described the Northern Ireland international as ‘Mr Reliable’, ‘Mr Consistent’ and ‘Mr Versatile’, with Saturday’s clash Dallas’ 34th start of the season having opened all of our Championship fixtures to date in 2019/20.

As well as being a mainstay of Bielsa’s plans, LUFC Data have noted that the 43-cap star registered a game-high 115 touches and 63 accurate passes (80.7%) against Reading, while making 19 successful passes in the final third, seven ball recoveries, six crosses, won four ground duels, three tackles, two aerial duels, made two interceptions and one block.

Has Dallas been our Player of the Season (so far)?

Neither of Dallas’ six crosses and only two of his six long balls connected with a teammate, however, while also failing to register a key pass and losing possession 24 times, per Sofa Score statistics.
