A few Leeds United fans have been discussing what changes Marcelo Bielsa could make for Saturday’s Championship clash with Nottingham Forest.

The Whites will travel to the City Ground looking to bounce back from defeat last time out at home to Wigan Athletic, which allowed West Bromwich Albion the chance to regain the top spot in the division by a point.

Losing back-to-back second-tier fixtures would seriously hinder our chances of automatic promotion, as third-placed Fulham are now within three points of us and defeat at Forest whilst the Cottagers beat Blackburn Rovers could see the South West London side move ahead dependent on goal difference.

United had held a ten-point advantage over third-placed Preston North End on December 12, but have only taken eight points in the eight matches played since – only Queens Park Rangers, West Brom, Sheffield Wednesday (seven) and Luton Town (four) have taken fewer.

Forest, meanwhile, are one of the most in-form teams in the Championship over the same period having taken 17 points in nine games – only Fulham have also taken 17 points, but from one less games.

If we are to turn the tide on our form this Saturday, some fans seemingly feel Bielsa ought to make changes to his preferred line-up when we arrive at the City Ground.

Should Bielsa make changes vs Forest on Saturday?

No

In the five Championship fixtures Leeds have played in 2020, Bielsa has named an almost identical line-up each time, with the only change between drawing at West Brom and defeat to Sheffield Wednesday being Barry Douglas replacing Ezgjan Alioski at left-back.

The boss then deployed Stuart Dallas in the role as we lost at QPR while awarding Pablo Hernandez his return to the side, only to return Dallas into midfield against Millwall with Alioski back at left-back following Kalvin Phillips’ red card.

An identical XI then lined up against Wigan at the weekend, as the Latics won 1-0 after Patrick Bamford missed two big chances to score and Kiko Casilla had an afternoon to forget in goal.

Some fans hope Bielsa does not make it three-in-a-row when we face Forest on Saturday, with a few voicing hope of alterations on social media.

In other Leeds United news, fans have been urging Bielsa to axe a one-time international when we face Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
