Late yesterday evening Leeds United confirmed another significant departure as Pontus Jansson completed his move to Brentford.
Speculation over the weekend had grown to frenzied levels when it came to the rumour mill suggesting fallouts and whatever the truth may be to some of those claims, undoubtedly manager Marcelo Bielsa will have been on board with this although officially it’s an undisclosed fee.

I don’t think it’s any secret that with such agreement in the media of a claimed £5.5million fee it seems likely that’s the price and there will be those fans who feel in the current market that’s on the low side.
However, if there has been a falling out of any kind it’s best for all parties to conclude a deal quickly and we probably won’t ever know the details here.
Certainly Brentford seem to admit the deal came around quickly and only recently in their comments as they announced his capture.

Big shoes to fill, that’s for sure. The vast majority aren’t pleased with the news and understandably so.
His replacement is now key, as the Helder Costa excitement feels like a long time ago given all the recent speculation.
