Familiar face is open to summer move, Leeds must look to strike

|

The Sky Bet Championship action continues this weekend as Leeds United host Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road live in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

It’s a game that needs little introduction of its importance anyway but this weekend there is added significance with both sides still having something to play for.

As the build-up continues, then, a transfer story involving Sam Byram might be of some interest to us.

According to the Nottingham Post, the right-back would consider a move from West Ham to Nottingham Forest, and that should interest us.

Though he has had injury problems again this season, he impressed earlier in the week for the Reds and remains a class player.

If he’s open to playing in the second tier, too, that surely means he’d be open to coming back to Elland Road – regardless of division we’re in next season.

Luke Ayling has been on and off this year, of course, and needs more competition for that spot so Byram, if he is open to a move, should have his head turned by us.
