Chelsea and Leeds have reached a full agreement for Raphinha reports Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.

The London club have had an official bid accepted, and it is thought to be around £60m/£65m, with the bulk of the fee paid immediately and it is said to be done between the two clubs. Talks ongoing on players personal terms.

This will come as a shock to most football fans as it looked like the Brazilian would be heading to either Barcelona or Arsenal.  After recent speculation Leeds fans were resigned to losing their star winger, and the most were hoping that the money would be top dollar so Jesse Marsch could reinvest it into the squad.

Leeds were stood firm on their valuation which was believed to be around £65m and now it looks like Chelsea have met their valuation and Raphinha will be heading to Stamford Bridge.  Chelsea of course, can offer Champions League football and that will have played a big part on the wingers mind, with the World Cup coming up in November.

Leeds fans will be sad to see such a talent like Raphinha leave Elland Road but most will wish him well and admit he deserves to be playing at the top.  He is an elite player and should be challenging for major trophies and titles.  Unfortunately, Leeds can’t offer him that just yet, and it seems like good business all round.

Leeds will be hoping to tie up more deals before the season starts in August and this money will hopefully help them bring in the key players that they need to push on this season.
