Manager Marcelo Bielsa saw his Leeds United side go into another pointless and boring international lull in the best manner possible – all three points against Blackburn Rovers at Elland Road on Saturday.
Having seen a penalty finally awarded to the side, and Patrick Bamford putting in a solid performance that saw him end his own goal drought, one downside to the match was the late substitution of skipper Liam Cooper who appeared to pick up a groin issue.

The 28-year-old centre-half has now withdrawn from international duty in November with Scotland, but having picked up a slight groin tear, scans indicate that it’s not a major problem, and there’s every confidence that he’ll be back in contention after the international fortnight.
Given the partnership that he’s struck up with Ben White, hopefully that’ll prove to be the case given our otherwise lack of options outside of Gaetano Berardi, as top spot is there for the taking.
