Dominic Matteo has come out and said to LUTV that Pablo Hernandez is capable of playing in the Premier League at the moment and it is hard to disagree.
We’ve seen a lot of players improve this season under Marcelo Bielsa.
Gaetano Berardi, Mateusz Klich and Liam Cooper have started in the form of their lives and it is clear our new manager is at the heart of that.
However, one man that remains as good as ever – and our best player from last season – is Hernandez and Matteo is right to say he is top-flight quality:
“He makes the difference. I think he can play in the Premier League, I have always said that, the way he plays the game.”
He played there last with Swansea before joining us and has since been our best player with a number of creative and classy displays.
Certainly, it’d be good to get back into the Premier League this season with him in the squad as he, more than most, deserves to be in the top flight.
