Filipe Da Costa scored his first goal in the white of Leeds United as fellow new signing, goalkeeper David Lucas played his first game between the sticks in a ‘behind closed doors’ friendly against Chesterfield on Tuesday.

Da Costa is still waiting for international clearance to come through due to a contract dispute with his old club, however has been allowed to train and play for the club in friendly matches only. David Lucas, who has joined as backup to current #1 Casper Ankergren also started the match, as did ex-Newcastle United defender Paul Huntington.

Leeds won the match 2-1 with goals from the debutant Da Costa, dispatching a fine free kick, with Robert Bayly grabbing the winner with 3 minutes left on the clock.
