It looks as though this whole Burma scenario is going to rumble on for some time yet as the fall-out from it seems to have increased.
The club announced yesterday we’d be off to the Far-East on a post season tour and since many have got in touch with the Whites to express their dismay at the decision.
Of course, it makes sense when you consider the country has been in the news for some awful reasons of late but it looks as though the club still plans to go on the trip.
Andrea Radrizzani has sought to clear things up, too, with him posting this reply to a fan on Twitter and seeing plenty respond to him in kind.
Let’s look at the latest:

Such a stupid thought! It s actually the opposite, football bring joy and has no politics. I am happy to go in developing countries and support local football and engage with local community.

Look at all the experts on the country!! Bet everyone of them googled to to see where the country was!!! I'm sure all the players staff n fans will be welcomed and safe otherwise choice wouldn't be made

50% of them had never even heard of a Rohingya Muslim before today. Get the players sent Andrea, play the games, spread the lufc word and hopefully bring some happiness to some kids also.

Maybe Andrea you should ask the 700000 people forced by the current regime from their homes if they agree with you! There's a reason why no English club has played there in 80 years. First the badge now this incredible act of stupidity, cancel the tour.

The Verdict
It’s really not a great look for the club after what has been a poor season that has already damaged our reputation.
I can understand the sentiment behind Radrizzani’s reasons but, being honest, we shouldn’t be putting ourselves in the firing line like this.
