It’s a new month and the Championship campaign of 2019/20 edges ever nearer and it’s certainly been a busy week on the transfer front for Leeds United with our incomings and the sale and loan back of Jack Clarke – but one other man featured on the rumour mill on Monday and that was centre-half Pontus Jansson with claimed interest from Fulham.
The speculation seemed to be sparked by Daily Telegraph journalist Matt Law who took to social media to state.
Hearing Fulham are very keen on trying to sign Pontus Jansson from Leeds

With Jansson’s future being open for debate this summer with different people reading different things into his Play-Off disappointment moments, and the supposed bust up with manager Marcelo Bielsa, I actually thought there would be more speculation by now given how the rumour mill normally works – but it seems I’m more concerned about this speculation than many others in the fanbase, even though I completely see their argument.
I just don’t like the way this has slipped through, but I’m certainly hoping it’s me!
Few could begrudge our Swedish legend a Premier League move, but whatever the price, we shouldn’t be strengthening any Championship side with our hopes for this year.
Don’t be so stupid, why would he go to Fulham and why would we sell him! MOT

Why the hell would he go there?!! Same division!!! No where near as big a club obviously. Nonsense.

Great comparison ????

A) PJ is going up with us this year as an important part of our defence, so why would he leave Leeds anyway? 2) Fulham haven’t got £30m to spend. 3) Jansson plays for Bielsa. So just like I am keen we bring in Lionel Messi to play the 10 role it isn’t going to happen #lufc #MOT

Why on earth would he go to a smaller club in the same division with less chance of going up?
