Harry Wilson has been linked with Leeds United among other clubs but it would seem that he is eyeing a stay with Liverpool in order to try and get in their side.

The Yorkshire Evening Post suggested last month that we could be looking at the winger who impressed on loan last season with Hull City thanks to some direct attacking displays.

Certainly, he’d have been a player that would have boosted our squad but it looks as though he’s eyeing a challenge with the Reds.

As quoted by Sky Sports, the winger said:

“At the moment I am getting the chance to train at Melwood and get minutes in the friendlies and my aim is to impress the manager and stay here.”

The Verdict

It’s disappointing but perhaps not a surprise.

The kid looks potentially the real deal and if he’s confident enough to try and force himself into their attack then you’ve got to just hold your hands up and say fair play.

Certainly, though, I’d also not be shocked if come the end of the window he decides that perhaps a loan away would be best.
