With Tyler Roberts making another impression for Wales in midweek in their Nations League tie with the Republic of Ireland, Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa has an interesting selection dilemma going into the Blackburn Rovers tie this weekend.
With Leeds having an explosive start to life in 2018/19, it’s fair to say the double injury blow of losing Kemar Roofe and Patrick Bamford in quick succession has seen us stutter in recent weeks. The issue has been scoring goals at the rate we were previously, but it is only a stutter, not a stall, performances have still been largely positive and we’ve been picking up points.
Roberts has done a sterling job adjusting to life leading the line as it’s not a natural role for him, it wasn’t really Roofe’s role when he signed him but he certainly adjusted. With Roofe having made a goalscoring return for the Under 23s, these fans at least want a quick decision from the gaffer.
Surely it’s berardi at RB? Roofe has to start and If Hernandez is fit then him starting is a no brainier

Yes, yes they do. We have missed them. No offense to the rest of the team but we have.

With players coming back into contention, Bielsa’s options certainly increase and that can only be a good thing for us, but I don’t think he’ll throw Roofe straight back in. To me, it makes far more sense that he comes off the bench to further increase his sharpness and fitness as he looks to build his form again and whilst Roberts hasn’t been banging the goals away, it would be a little unfair given his efforts to drop him immediately.
