Plenty of Leeds United fans have reacted gleefully to reports that a former target has seen another prospective move this summer stall over speculated exorbitant wage demands.

With Marcelo Bielsa arriving at Elland Road this summer with plenty of work to do, it was no surprise or secret that strengthening the frontline was a major priority for him and Victor Orta but we saw early deals for Matej Vydra and Abel Hernandez fall down owing to their contract demands.

With the signing of Patrick Bamford leaving Vydra’s future in doubt as we have now apparently walked away from the deal completely, another man continuing to have problems is Hernandez.

It’s been reported his move to CSKA Moscow has now stalled over the 27-year-old’s wage demands once again – especially having failed his medical according to one journalist. The Uruguayan’s qualities up front are well known but having spent most of last season out with injury it appears he hasn’t factored that into his plans as he left Hull City on a free.

It’s fair to say fans aren’t sympathetic.
