Didier Drogba School of Diving

Seeing as the Vital Chelsea crew seem to like congratulating “Agent Wise and Agent Poyet” I think it only fitting that we point out a few things about their own club.

Didier Drogba yet again last night demonstrated his impressive ability to re-create a scene from just about any war film you care to mention. With reports of a sniper rubbished by Liverpool, it now appears that heading a football can cause Drogba to fall over clutching his head in an attempt to con the referee. Whilst his scoring record is indeed fantastic, the sudden need to hit the deck ruins his image. One can only imagine what he`s like if tackled by Arjen Robben in training. Does “The Special One” have trouble getting across the training field due to the fallen bodies of half of his squad?

A famous video hosting website does have the incident already.

What I don`t understand is that the Football Association still has no way to combat cheating in this manner. Lets face it it`s not the first, or indeed the last time that any player will take a tumble deliberately but something should be done to cut it out. Reviewing a game after the final whistle should at least allow the ability for the referee to award at least a yellow card. Suspending persistent offenders could be another option.

Something needs to be done; the beautiful game is being ruined by cheats.
