In recent weeks we have seen Barry Douglas, Kemar Roofe, Patrick Bamford, Pablo Hernandez and Gaetano Berardi all among those to be injured.

A collection of key players, the recurring theme with many of them seems to be soft-tissue related – caused by stress and overworking the muscles.

The suggestion has been, then, that the vigorous work that goes on at Leeds is starting to play catch-up but, let’s be clear, there’s no need to panic yet.

Yes, it is rather inconvenient that these players have largely had similar injuries but it is perhaps to be expected at this point in the season.

They are still getting sharp and under new management which is far more intense, this was going to happen.

The fact of the matter is, their bodies should get used to the approach with time and, therefore, will be conditioned to cope with the extra exertion.

It’s a slight concern, but it will be okay.
