Kidderminster Harriers midfielder Ed Williams has started this season well in non-league football and it seems as though a fair few Championship clubs are taking a look at him.

The Non-league Paper is reporting that we, Aston Villa and Derby are all interested in the player as he looks to forge a career for himself as high as possible.

Of course, there is always a risk with a player coming up from such a level but in recent years we’ve seen a bigger appetite for looking lower down.

Indeed, when you look at the World Cup squad in the summer it’s clear that there is talent to be found in the Football League and below and so it’s good to see us apparently keen.

Derby and Villa appear also in the race, though, and so it remains to be seen who manages to get him – if anyone does at all of course.
