Danny Mills says 29 y/o Leeds man is ready for the Premier League – Report

|

It’s a pretty bold claim to make.

And it kind of puts a little bit of extra pressure on Leeds United to perform this year, now we’ll get to see if he and the rest of the team are up to the challenge. Having just signed a new four-and-a-half-year contract at Elland Road this week, it looks as if a lot of those years are going to be spent in the top flight according to one former Leeds defender.

Speaking to Football Insider, Danny Mills believes that Klich would be ready to take on the Premier League:

“Good players will always learn to adapt. He’s technically good, he has that as an advantage from the off. You never quite know until you get there but everything about him suggests yes, he would have the ability to play in the Premier League.”

It’s no secret that a lot of people are scouting around Elland Road right now trying to pick off the best of Leeds United’s talents, with Football Insider recently reporting that Manchester United are looking to bring in Kalvin Phillips and Ben White as they look to build up their core of young British talent. And whilst White isn’t technically a Leeds player, it just increases the likelihood that he won’t be at Elland Road in the future.

But saying things like what Mills said isn’t going to be doing Leeds United any favours. In fact all it’s doing is adding the pressure onto them to deliver promotion all the sooner or risk losing out on all these players as a result. If pundits like him keep talking up the likes of Klich, Phillips and White, then there’s going to be an awful lot of Premier League clubs circling the talent hoping to pick at the carcass if Leeds end up not getting promoted.

This is all just setting up for one big disappointment at Elland Road if they end up missing out on promotion yet again, and it could lead to the entire squad being more or less decimated by the amount of clubs that come after our players.

Will We Now See The Best Of Klich With The Contract Sorted?

Definitely

He Hasn't Been That Poor Anyway

Then we’re back to square one and who knows how long it would take to put together a team ready for promotion then?
