Leeds United will be looking to kick on from their win over West Brom last Friday this weekend as we aim to get back to the Premier League.
It appears a three-horse race for those top two spots now with Sheffield United and Norwich City keeping us company right now at the top of the tree.
We can be confident that we are going to make those spots at the end of the season, though, with some of the football we have played this year.
Marcelo Bielsa has done a wonderful job so far, then, and it is clear that he could well be the man to return us to the top flight at long, long last.
However, many have suggested his burnout causing approach could derail us – though there’s no real sign of that yet – and, anyway, it depends how you look at it.
Take this approach from Phil Hay:
A Leeds United column for lunchtime – is burnout really what happens to Marcelo Bielsa’s team? Or do Bielsa’s methods actually give clubs starved of success the chance to dream?https://t.co/g8o9EKAX1P

Certainly, that is a more promising way of looking at things at the moment and plenty of our fans have reacted to this particular Bielsa take – expressing their own views in the process…
Bielsa has taken a team that for 7 years specialised in the “fight for 14th”. Made them genuine contenders. Playing with wonderful verve and energy. Off the pitch, he only shows humility, integrity and respect. He’s not a “good manager”. He’s a great one.

Not to mention long-suffering football correspondents. #lufc

Football is for dreamers and Bielsa has certainly made us all dream of what can be felt as well as achieved

I don’t think they do burnout. I think it’s a strict training and lifestyle regime that some do not fully commit to. They may be ok at first but when they realise it’s all the time some don’t want to do that. Our team is thoroughly committed though!

Maybe worth asking Darren Moore and his players about Leeds’ burnout. I suspect they have a different view…

Great article Phil and another perspective that most haven’t probably realiaed

Could see this being his last job in football. If we make it, what a way to go and look at the legacy he appears to have built already. Topping leagues in three age groups all playing beautiful attacking football.

Yet another great article…”WE ARE BIELSA” #mot #leedslegendalready
