Many Leeds United fans were left flabbergasted by what they saw at the end of their 1-1 draw against Luton Town on Tuesday.

The stalemate meant that they failed to extend their lead at the top of the Championship with West Bromwich Albion having a game in hand on the Whites, and were forced to share the spoils at Elland Road.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side utterly dominated the proceedings but found themselves a goal down five minutes into the second half through Harry Cornick. Stuart Dallas scored with plenty of time to spare but ultimately couldn’t put their chances away as striker Patrick Bamford completely fluffed a cross when he looked well-positioned to head home. But he had a perfect excuse all lined up.

Should Leeds move on from Bamford this summer?

Absolutely!

No way!

The Square Ball shared on Twitter that Bamford was indicating to Luton’s Izzy Brown that he lost sight of the cross in the Elland Road floodlights, with Costa indicating something similar.

As a result, supporters blasted the Leeds duo and made their feelings clear on social media. Two fans described their gibbering as a “cop-out” and a “desperate excuse” to deter from their own mistakes, while another stated that he has simply, “had enough”.
