Leeds United captain Liam Cooper has spoken of his disappointment this afternoon as his side slumped to another Premier League defeat, this time losing out 3-2 at home to newly promoted Fulham.

In an interview directly after the game, cooper was asked, “Well, how frustrating was that for you?”

“Yeah, frustrated, anger, we are in the ascendancy, score the first goal and concede an easy goal, for them, he’s not had to do much and it’s put in an area, Mitrovic gets a flick at the front stick and we’ve actually been alright defending set plays and yeah, we’ve not been the best today and punished for it and yeah, just disappointed and angry.”

“The reaction at the end from your fans was always going to happen, I guess wasn’t it?”

“Rightly so, they’re disappointed, this club needs to be winning football games and we’re not doing that at the minute. We’ve got to get a result from somewhere, we as players, we’ve got to stand up and go and get a result.”

“Such as the way of football, the pressure will increase now and be immense on your manager?”

“Of course, of course. We know we’re at a big club, and you’ve got to take it on the chin and when your backs are against the wall, you’ve got to come out fighting and we’ve got to do that, we need every man inside that to come out and there, take some responsibility and put this right.”
