Leeds enjoyed a comfortable passage into the second round of the Carling Cup with an easy 4-0 win over Lincoln City.

Simon Grayson has made one change from the side beaten by Derby County at the weekend.

Alex Bruce makes his debut for the club in defence in place of Richard Naylor.

Leeds took the lead inside two minutes when Jon Howson got his head to a Sanchez Watt cross.

Leeds were two up inside eight minutes when Watt`s cross found Becchio who made no mistake.

Leeds were in total control, Anyon in the Lincoln goal denied Watt twice in the space of minutes to keep the visitors in the game.

The game was all but over after half hour when Lloyd Sam got on the end of a Paul Connolly cross to make it 3-0.

Bradley Johnson was next to go close, his shot had Joe Anyon at full stretch to keep him out.

A comfortable first half lead for Leeds with the side in total control at the break.

The second half started quietly, Simon Grayson made a double substitution around the hour mark, Aiden White and Mike Grella replaced Bradley Johnson and Luciano Becchio.

Leeds were awarded a penalty when Paul Green brought down Lloyd Sam in the area.

Neil Kilkenny stepped up to send Anyon the wrong way to make it 4-0 with twenty minutes remaining.

Leeds made their final substitution straight after the goal with Andy Hughes replacing John Howson.

Leeds were happy to run down the clock as the game was well and truly over.

A good confidence boost for the team after the disappointment of Saturday and they now get ready for a trip to Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
