Clueless Leeds beaten

Managerless Leeds were beaten 2-1 at bottom of the table with another gutless performance.

Ross McCormack`s 15th championship goal of the season was sandwiched between two Gary McSheffrey penalties, with the winner coming in stoppage time.

Caretaker manager Neil Redfearn stuck with the same eleven that were beaten by Brighton on Saturday but a clueless performance saw them rarely threaten the Coventry goal.

Coventry went ahead on twenty-one minutes when McSheffrey scored his first penalty of the evening when Danny Pugh was guilty of a foul inside the area. This was despite the linesman initially flagging for a foul outside the area.

Leeds levelled just past the half hour when McCormack found space inside the area to tuck the ball away.

The game produced very few clear-cut chances and Aidan White probably had the best chance of the evening when he hit his shot straight at Murphy in the Coventry goal.

It was to prove costly as Coventry were awarded their second penalty of the evening in stoppage time and McSheffrey made no mistake.
