Leeds United head coach Thomas Christiansen was proud of the performance after watching his team win 2-0 at Nottingham Forest.

Leeds produced another clinical performance against a team who have made a good start to the season.

Goals from Kemar Roofe and Ezgjan Alioski ensured Leeds end the first month of the season unbeaten, in what has been a terrific first month in charge for Christiansen and the new head coach says they will enjoy the international break but come back stronger when they return.

“I`m not only very happy, but I am also very proud of our performance,” Christiansen told the Leeds official website.

“The players put in a big effort, their understanding was great and they knew how to stop a good opponent in Nottingham Forest.

“I congratulate the players, they will now have a couple of days off to enjoy, which they deserve and we will come back strong again in two weeks time.”

The win at Forest lifts Leeds into third place in the Championship having won three and drawn two of their opening five league games.
