Reports via the Yorkshire Post are suggesting that Hull City have joined Leeds in the race for Turkish-based striker Mbaye Diagne.

The striker’s name first came to our attention last month as the club continued to look for a new striker.

Things since, though, had gone a bit quiet but it appears as though this final week could see his name come back to prominence.

Indeed, Hull are thought to be keen on the player as well and so now we’ll have to see whether we’re going to be able to bring him in or whether he’ll go to the Tigers.

That, of course, is if he moves at all but personally I’m not fussed if we don’t get him.

Patrick Bamford has obviously arrived since and, actually, if we’re going to bring in a new forward it would be better if we target a proven Championship player.

Let’s see what happens.
