There are a host of interesting match-ups in the Championship this weekend with arguably the most eye-catching being an East Midlands derby between Leicester City and Nottingham Forest and the live Sky clash between newly-promoted Peterborough United and Paul Jewell’s Ipswich Town.

Neither Leicester nor Forest have had the best start to the season and both clubs will be hoping for a win this weekend to get their promotion ambitions back on track.

Leicester’s only league win this term came on their travels, so Sven-Goran Eriksson’s men could well prefer to be away from the Walkers Stadium this weekend and 24/13 on Leicester is a great price if the Foxes can get back to their best.

orest have won one, drawn one and lost one in the Championship so far this season and Steve McClaren’s side will have to improve their constituency if the club from the City Ground are to challenge at the top end of the table.

The Tricky Trees have only netted one goal so far this season in league action though with the likes of Matt Derbyshire and Jonathan Greening in their ranks it is hard to see Forest continuing to struggle for goals.

The live Sky match on Saturday tea-time is Peterborough United versus Ipswich Town.

Ipswich were fancied by many to have a good campaign this season.

However, the Tractor Boys only have three points from their opening trio of games and Paul Jewell will be hoping his side can get back to their opening day form when they secured an impressive 3-0 victory away at Bristol City.

Ipswich are 24/13 to pick up their second away success of the campaign and that could prove to be a great price given how Town performed at Ashton Gate.

Meanwhile, Peterborough have four points from their opening three games of the season.

Given that Posh have just been promoted into the Championship it is hard to predict just how they will perform this time round though Darren Ferguson’s men do look to have enough offensive quality to trouble the majority of second-tier sides.

In the outright betting for the Championship, West Ham have been installed as 2/1 favourites and if the Hammers continue to show solid form Sam Allardyce’s side will quickly be cut to a much shorter price.

Those looking for more bang for their buck could consider Brighton.

Gus Poyet’s side have started the season on fire and the 10/1 about the Seagulls claiming the Championship trophy looks to be a good bet considering that Albion have picked up nine points from their opening three games of the season.
