Former West Bromwich Albion Academy graduate Tyler Roberts impressed plenty of Leeds United fans in the campaign of 2018/19 as he stepped up to help fill the gaps left when the likes of Patrick Bamford and Kemar Roofe were hit with injury last year.
The 20-year-old may have only found the net three times for us, but the Welsh international – despite his age – certainly showed the spirit and the work rate required, even if he was performing a role that wasn’t quite natural.
Having been hit with injury himself at the end of the season, over the summer he was building himself back up and after five odd months on the sidelines, he made his long awaited return to the pitch on Monday as our Under 23 side travelled to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace.

Roberts wasn’t the only one to impress in the game but he was given a warm welcome back as he took to social media to comment on the clash.
