Angus Kinnear has been speaking recently about what the new partnership with the 49ers enterprise group could mean for the transfer window and our spending.
The Whites look to be being linked with some proven players for the first time in a while but, with that, comes a more than likely hike in price tags.
That said, then, we’re obviously hoping this new business deal means that we can sign new players and, as per Kinnear, it looks as though it is going to help us.
Speaking to talkSPORT and as quoted by Adam Pope on Twitter yesterday, here’s what he had to say:
Kinnear on the @49ers investment:
“They’ve taken a strategic minority stake in the club and made a significant investment which will certainly help us from a transfer perspective this summer.” #lufc

Some positive-sounding comments, then, so let’s see how our fans responded to that:
“ signs Jerry for 3m on a 5 year deal”

great news all you need now is a director of football that knows what a footballer is meant to do

Hope they invest in players who may have some idea about how to play championship football

Ask @49ers if they want Victor?

Can’t wait till we sign big bad Jerry with all this money

The Verdict
I like where this is heading – so perhaps I should be careful to build up too much hope?
On the pitch, we’ve still got issues and Hecky clearly has work to do to win many of us around but I do think that off of the grass we are doing some good things.
Certainly, it’s nice to write about Leeds in an almost positive way and, though nothing is guaranteed, I do think this will work out well for us.
