I suppose anything today was going to be slightly ‘after the lord mayor’s show’.
With the news coming out yesterday that Kalvin Phillips had agreed to a new five-year contract at Elland Road, everything can more or less just fall into the category of ‘don’t care, The Yorkshire Pirlo is staying’.
However, there were other matters that took place yesterday that didn’t surround a pen and piece of paper. For instance, the U23s carried on their league campaign with a 0-0 draw away at Crystal Palace. Whilst the highlight of the afternoon was a bit of a goalkeeping masterclass (I don’t think I’m exaggerating in saying that) from Illan Meslier, there was one other bit of news that should interest Leeds fans, Tyler Roberts made his comeback from surgery.
Having been out since the end of last season where he needed some fluid draining from his knee he finally got back onto the football pitch, coming on as a substitute at half time and Leeds fans were more than happy to see him back.
Great to see you back Tyler ⚪????⚪????

Having made huge inroads into the first team last year, making 31 appearances in all competitions, hopefully it’s just a matter of time before we see him back in the first-team picture again.
