Plenty of Leeds United fans were salivating over Kalvin Phillip’s goal during his side’s 3-1 victory against Blackburn on Saturday.
The Whites triumphed at Ewood Park and moved four points clear at the top of the Championship and now need just 10 points from their final five games to secure promotion.
Patrick Bamford and Mateusz Klich scored to help Leeds to victory, but it was not the goal that got the Elland Road faithful talking.
Phillips’ stunning free-kick five minutes before half-time doubled the visitors’ advantage, which gave Marcelo Bielsa’s side some breathing space.
Because of this, supporters were jubilant with Phillips’ strike and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he “can’t stop watching it” as Leeds edged one step closer to the Premier League, and added that it was sheer “perfection”.
Cant stop watching it @Kalvinphillips perfection 👌
