Leeds United surged to second in the Championship standings after securing a hard-fought victory over Reading at Elland Road on Tuesday evening.
Title rivals Norwich and Middlesbrough could only draw their matches, which allowed Leeds to climb to just a single point below the Canaries in the table heading into the busy festive season that lies ahead.
The hosts did not perform to their best capacity in the first period, with Lewis Baker earning his first start but failing to make an impression, but improvements were shown after the break following the introduction of Samuel Saiz.
After impressive cameo performances in recent weeks, Saiz made another case to earn a start in the coming weeks after catching the eye after his introduction – which fans believed led to more attacking threat from Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
They took to social media to express their views on his performance and we have gathered some of the best reactions below.
What a ride that was. Happy for Bailey, to go from being shouted out the side a few weeks ago to having your name being shouted around Elland Road shows how quick things can turn around, fair play to him
Saiz & Clarke have made their cases to start. Cooper & Phillips class #lufc

Clarke asking questions there. Think he should be coming in now for alioski. Jansson in for baker and move phillips back up. Frustrating game where Pablo could have had 2, Saiz showed class but also that frustrating side but he canβt be far off a recall. #lufc

Coops absolutely outstanding tonight. Forshaw moved the ball around well. If Pontus is still out this weekend, Saiz has to start. The only disappointment tonight was Baker. #lufc

Doesn't get many plaudits but Cooper was very good tonight Philips also very good playing out of position Saiz a huge difference after coming on Clark great but concerning he's blowing after 40 mind Roofe would have had two on another night Pablo different level than most
