Leeds United go into the first leg of the Play-Off Semi-Final against Derby County this Saturday at Pride Park and everyone knows what’s riding on the game when it comes to a trip to Wembley and potential promotion into the Premier League.
With events earlier in the season with Spygate, this tie certainly takes on an extra edge and that’s already forming part of the narrative during the buildup to the game, but there’s every reason for confidence given our two wins over them in the regular Championship campaign.
Swedish centre-half Pontus Jansson was on press duties with manager Marcelo Bielsa on Thursday afternoon, and invariably our modern day legend wasn’t going to mix or tone down his words when it came to adding extra spice to things.
Having cracked that he would play in a ‘wheelchair’ if needed given an ankle problem that leaves him as a doubt for the game, he also offered his approach to Saturday’s match.
Classic Jansson, on Leeds and Derby: "We hate them and they hate us. That's how we go into the game!" #lufc

Jansson clarifies that by saying hate is the wrong word. "I'm talking as a football fan." But says there's definite feeling between the two clubs.
