Leeds skipper Paul Butler revealed to Yorkshire Radio that Leeds have been missing Jonathan Douglas.

Butler said: ‘He was probably sitting at Blackburn in the summer wondering where his career was going to go but now he has the security of a three-year contract he will come back to Leeds full of confidence and go out and show his worth,

‘He is a quality player and he showed that last season. We have missed him this season.’

Vital Leeds are also very pleased to have Douglas back at Elland Road.

Butler also spoke about the future saying ‘Once we get players back fit again, and available after suspension, there is going to be a lot of competition for places and that is just what you want,

‘And when we get our strongest eleven out on the field we will be a match for any team,

‘You are never satisfied with what you have but when you break down our games this season we are unlucky not to be sitting here now with three more points than we have.

‘But when we are at full strength we will have a team to contend with. That is when people should judge us.’
