Leeds United are flying high at the top of the Championship and stand on course to secure a return to the Premier League for the first time in 15 years.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side have been fantastic this season but there is still work to be done for the Yorkshire side to seal their spot back in the top-flight and the club are pursuing further additions during the January transfer window.
Leeds are seeking additional recruits in the wide positions, an area that they have decided needs improving, and The Sun on Sunday (Page 59, 13/01) states that a swoop for Swansea City’s Jefferson Montero is being considered.
A move for the 29-year-old Ecuador international would likely be on loan and fans on social media have been discussing a potential swoop, with the general consensus being that he could be a valuable addition for Bielsa’s squad.
We have gathered some of their comments below.
Jefferson Montero would be a brilliant signing for Leeds, got pace to break any defence apart.. #lufc #mot

I remember the Swansea game montero was all over Bielsa at the start of the game so this move makes sense #lufc https://t.co/iFNQtn8WaM

Would love if we signed Jefferson Montero. Absolute baller and bags of pace. Very similar to the circumstances in which we signed Pablo. Not getting younger but class is permanent. James is a very tidy prospect too #LUFC
