Few Leeds United fans really knew what to expect when Brighton and Hove Albion centre-half Ben White arrived at Elland Road on a season long loan spell over the summer.
The 21-year-old has certainly been impressive in his seven starts and one substitute showing so far this year and he quickly won over plenty of fans in the stands with his efforts.
In recognition of his performances at the club so far, he was also voted as the Professional Footballers’ Association’s Player of the Month for August on Wednesday.

White picked up 44% of the fan led vote and was joined on the shortlist by teammate Patrick Bamford. He won out against Swansea City’s Borja Baston, Hull City’s Jarrod Bowen, Preston North End’s Daniel Johnson and Charlton Athletic’s Lyle Taylor.
Reacting to the news on social media when his win was confirmed, plenty of Leeds fans tipped him for a big future in the game, given what we’ve seen from him so far.
Very bright future ahead of him. A total modern defender.

When he was at Newport I knew he was going to do great things.

Light work. Absolute class act and there's no chance I was voting for anyone else.

Quality! Well deserved, came into this squad with usual Leeds fans saying ‘He’ll be no Pontus’ yet he’s stepped upto the mark at 21 and bossed it!????????????????
