Bolton Wanderers manager Gary Megson has admitted he’s looking to bring in Celtic’s Bobo Balde, possibly leaving Lubomir Michalik free to move to Leeds United.

The Guinean stopper returned to the Celtic side following his year long recovery from a broken leg, and this has alerted Megson, whose Bolton side is suffering from a torrid season, and a -9 goal difference. Balde will be off to the African Nations Cup this month, however Guinea aren’t expected to go too far in the competition.

Any move for Balde, may leave Leeds United target Lubo Michalik surplus to requirements which will undoubtedly re-awaken Dennis Wise’s interest in the defender as he looks to boost his defensive squad.

On the defender Wise said:

‘I’m after a centre-back and I think everyone knows who. I’ve been chasing Lubo for a long time and it would be nice if we could make something happen there.’
