Following the claims that Chelsea would be recalling loanee Lewis Baker from Leeds United owing to a lack of game time for the lad, his recall was confirmed yesterday.
Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Phil Hay backed up his previous words by Tweeting the following out on social media.
Lewis Baker has gone back to Chelsea. Deal at Leeds is over. Expectation is that he’ll be loaned out quickly to another Championship club. #lufc

We haven’t had the best of times with Chelsea loanees as goalkeeper Jamal Blackman also returned to his parent club having picked up a serious injury, but in the case of Baker, whilst we saw flashes of what he could possibly do in the shirt, his game time reflects his overall success.
He didn’t make himself a real option for manager Marcelo Bielsa in his performances.
With fans taking to social media to offer their own thoughts on the deal, I still think some of the comments are incredibly harsh, but it is understandable as to why some fans erred that way as despite his clear talent and early promise, since returning from Vitesse he has simply stalled it seems.
Maybe he'll put no effort in there either.

Oh of course, he'll do nothing every other game but score a key goal against us. It'd be quite rude of him not to.

Complete waste of time.

Won't be remembered, that's for sure, wasted a place that someone better could have filled. pic.twitter.com/kyr4Z17ozI

Failed to make an impression on both occasions he was given his chance. Not a big loss. Good luck to the lad

About damn time!

Blessing in disguise this. He wasn't cutting it and it will force the club to replace him with someone who will cut it

Definitely going to Norwich to bag a 89th minute offside header against us
