It’s the news that Leeds fans have been waiting for.
Although it’s probably not the ideal way they wanted it to come about, but I suppose beggars can’t be choosers. Pablo Hernandez has suffered an injury, and he will need replacing for this weekend’s game against Charlton Athletic.
But all it took was 14 magical words for Leeds fans to be sent into raptures:
“Pablo Hernandez will not play, he has a muscular problem. Helder Costa will play.”
I have said before that I thought Costa should be getting a few more minutes in the side, and although I’d rather it be in place of Jack Harrison, I did also suggest that Costa is the ideal long-term replacement for Hernandez down the line, so I can’t really complain with how this has come about.
Enough about me though, this is how Leeds fans reacted when they saw the news. Suffice to say that they were delighted with it.
Could be blessing in disguise. #lufc

As bad as it is for Pablo being out, the fact Helder Costa is starting when you know he will rip it up, meaning he wont be replaced out of the team ever again, fills you up with pure joy ???? #lufc

Time to step up HC, and do your thing.

They’ve been waiting long enough for him to make an impact on the team, so now is the time for him to go and do something with his opportunity.
