Blakewell ‘One Team In It’

Leeds had plenty of possession but the action was confined to the occasional chance but the finishing from both teams was poor.

Kevin Blackwell: ‘In the first half I thought there was only one team in it.

‘Over the whole of the game we had more of it than Derby but in the second half I thought they sorted it out and worked us a lot harder.

‘But I thought we had two blatant penalties in the first half that were not given and sometimes you need a little break.

‘It was a real war of attrition out there. These are two big clubs, one is fighting for promotion and one is fighting against relegation.

‘To be fair to Derby they put in a real workmanlike performance and it could have gone either way in the second half.’
