Leeds boss Kevin Blackwell faced the press after the defeat to Crystal Palace, and blamed the strikers for their inability to really hurt Palace.

Blackwell: ‘Apart from not getting the goal, I thought it was a good game and I thought we had enough possession. But we weren’t decisive enough in the last third.

‘For me, it was the last third that was our problem tonight. We dominated it for long spells.

‘First half, I thought we must have shaded possession but I felt they had the better chances – and I don’t think (goalkeeper Neil) Sullivan had a save to make in the second half.

‘For all the possession and pressure, we didn’t create enough to really hurt them.

‘But it is just one of those days. The lads have given me everything, and I can’t complain.’
