Kevin Blackwell has blasted Northern Ireland boss Lawrie Sanchez for playing striker David Healy on Wednesday.

Healy put in an hour’s shift in Northern Ireland’s friendly win over Estonia but Leeds sent a medical report that he has an Achilles’ problem.

Blackwell claims Healy is now a doubt for the clash away at Crystal Palace and Sanchez should have given the player a rest considering the circumstances.

Blackwell: ‘We sent over the medical advice and he (Sanchez) decided to ignore it.

‘There will be a time when I shall repay that faith.’
