Friday afternoon’s confirmation that young Leeds United goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell had now completed his speculated move to Premier League side Burnley probably didn’t come as a surprise to many fans really.
“They Collect Goalkeepers” – These Leeds Fans Have Mixed Reaction To Recent Transfer Speculation
Having lost his place last season following the arrival of Spaniard Kiko Casilla, he was also on the end of some unwarranted flack given his age and the way he stepped into the breach when needed. It’s also fair to say he didn’t really help himself over the summer when it came to his interview that rubbed plenty of fans up the wrong way.

Although the transfer fee is officially undisclosed, it’s believed he brings the curtain down on his time at Elland Road after 41 first team appearances for the sum of £3.5million which plenty will question, although given his No 1 status for Northern Ireland I suspect the overall fee will be higher when you include clauses.
Reaction was mixed amongst fans, some wished him well, others criticised yet another low transfer out and plenty were willing to question why he wasn’t happy sitting on our bench, but is happy to for Burnley.
