“Biggest clown in the championship”: Lots of Leeds fans laugh off comments made by manager

|

He may have spoken about a bad time, but I think this one constitutes more of a ‘weird time’ to bring up something like this.

Speaking ahead of his side’s game with Fulham, Bristol City boss Lee Johnson, was talking about his side’s record against the big hitters in the division, and pointed out that although his side were thoroughly dispatched on the opening day of the season, and suffered similar against West Brom a few weeks ago, that his side would be able to do a much better job if they were to play again:

“I think West Brom blew us apart in patches and Leeds caught us at a bad time, but if we played Leeds and West Brom again tomorrow I don’t feel that we wouldn’t be competitive.”

Leeds fans on social media had great fun with that comment, as a lot of them accused him of being ‘obsessed’ with Leeds United, whilst some others decided that his comment was just simply absurd.

What did you make of Johnson's comments?

Stupid

Sensible

All this should add a little bit of fuel onto the fire ahead of the meeting between Leeds and Bristol City in February.
