It’s been reported this week that Leeds United are on the verge of capturing highly-rated Polish wonderkid Mateusz Bogusz.
The 17-year-old attacking midfielder’s current club Ruch Chorzow have already officially confirmed that an offer has been made by Leeds for his transfer this January window and only the finer details need to be completed before we get this one over the line.

The Tweet translates as “The purchase offer of Mateusz Bogusz submitted by Leeds United F.C. We are waiting for the draft transfer agreement.”
Although his current club are in the Polish second division after being relegated last season, he’s already been promoted up to the Polish Under 19 side and in 2018/19 he has 20 first team appearances to his name, with a return of five goals.
Clearly he would come in at Leeds to join our Under 23 side at best and continue his development, but with a youthful feel under manager Marcelo Bielsa, it’s good to see us strengthening the next generation crop as well as we finally get ourselves going this month with transfers.
