Although, in an earlier article, I championed the appointment of Steve Bruce to lead Leeds United out of the wilderness, rumour control suggests that the club might be going down a far more adventurous route.
Seemingly, the club are in negotiations to bring in Marcelo Bielsa, an Argentine who has a vast array of managerial experience to the club.
Bielsa would be considered to be quite a coup but also something of a risk having not managed in this country.
Delving into the wonderful world of Twitter, we’ve found two tweets that relate to the possible appointment.
The first suggests Leeds are quick to do a deal:
Bielsa prominent on the list of candidates at Leeds but not the only option, and Leeds are aware that other clubs might get involved with him. Want a rapid appointment though. #lufc

But the second:
No other club on the planet could have Dave Hockaday and Marcelo Bielsa as managers within the space of 4 years #lufc

sums up just what a crazy world we live in when it comes to supporting Leeds United.
